The Heritage of Thuli
Preserving the soul of traditional oil-making through centuries-old wooden press techniques.
Our Story
Thuli began in the heart of the southern plains, where the rhythmic creaking of the Chekku (wooden press) was the heartbeat of our village. For generations, we watched as the seeds were transformed not through speed or heat, but through patience and the steady pull of seasoned wood.
Our commitment goes beyond simple commerce. We are the stewards of a vanishing art. In a world of refined oils and industrial efficiency, we choose the slow path. We believe that the true essence of the seed—its aroma, its nutrients, and its medicinal properties—can only be preserved when it is treated with reverence.
01
Ethical Sourcing
We partner with heirloom farmers who honor the soil, ensuring every seed is non-GMO and harvested at the peak of vitality.
02
Sun-Drying
Traditional aeration on stone floors under the natural sun to achieve perfect moisture levels.
03
The Wooden Press
Slow extraction using Vaagai wood prevents heat buildup, keeping delicate enzymes intact.
04
Sedimentation
We don't use chemical filters. Instead, we let gravity work its magic in sunlit jars for four days.
